Kevin Saunders: Making Sense of O.T. Violence

Monday Mornings

Hennessy Hall
9:30am - 11:30am
August 13 - September 6
The Summer Series will be delivered in four two hour lectures.
A registration fee of $70 per person is requested to follow the Summer Series.

Can we make sense of the violence in the Old Testament as compared to the non-violence and compassion taught by Jesus in the New Testament? How can the ordered violence of God in the Old Testament also be the Father of Jesus in the New? Are we ready to concede that there may be two Gods? One for each Testament that make up the content of our Bible? I think not! So what are we to do? Come to the Summer Series to find out.

In our Summer Series, Kevin will address this topic and he invites you to "dive deeper" into the Word of God to see what is actually happening in these violent Old Testament passages. We will learn how we can read them with a new lens of Jesus to guide us.
