March 1 Weekly Reflection

03-01-2020Weekly Reflection

Children: God loves us so much that He will protect and help us. We can always rest in the fact that we do not need to test God, He loves us without fail. If we trust in Him, the devil and his temptations will not make us succumb to sin.

Take a moment to reflect on Jesus and His presence in your life. Pray together, aloud, the Our Father.

Adults/Teens: Sin is optional. We often forget that there is a big difference bet ween temptation and sin. Even Jesus was tempted, but He never sinned. Jesus is our example of what it means to know that our Heavenly Father only gives us rules in order shield us from harm. Also, even the Evil One knows the scriptures; he challenges Jesus to test God, but Jesus knows better. Jesus tells Satan that he must leave because although he is being promised the world, God alone is who must be served. How can we dedicate ourselves this Lent to serving God alone and allowing His love and truth to carry us through this season?
