Martha's Maintenance Ministry
Mary Marsh
Building and Grounds Maintenance Supervisor
(480) 899-1990 ext. 113
The MMM – always stressing respect and care for our wide-variety of parish facilities – keeps our church, our parish kitchen, our many classrooms and conference sites, our other buildings, and surrounding parish properties clean, sparkling, and in perfect repair. This is a key and top priority for the staff at St. Andrew the Apostle.
Of course, the cleaning and repair process at a large campus, and dynamic and activity-rich faith community, like St. Andrew's, is an ongoing, never-ceasing process. Parishioners regularly join our talented parish grounds and maintenance staff, via the MMM, by stepping up to assist with basic cleaning, polishing, repairing, and other handy-person talents.
Parish Grounds & Building Maintenance Staff
Mary Marsh is ably assisted year-round by parish staff members in our Grounds & Buildings office:

Maintenance and Development Update
First, the Good News…
Our parking lot project is finally becoming a reality! We have chosen Ace Asphalt Company from the 5 firms that bid on the project. The contract for the parking lot fix is being drafted now. It will be signed by May 31. Work on-site should commence very soon after. Look for more information, in future parish bulletins, for an exact start date and updates regarding progress. (This project should not interfere with parking on Saturday evening or Sunday at any time in association with Masses.)
How It Will Happen
The parking lot repair project should happen in two main parts. There will be some removal and repairs of asphalt on our main drive-lanes, crack filling and sealing in other areas, and new paint for curbs and parking spots. During the Fall, after the new asphalt has cured with the summer heat, the whole parking lot will get two (2) coats of sealer and new striping.
We plan to maintain the parking lot every three years with a fresh seal-coat. And, more good news, we will be adding eight (8) new handicapped-parking spots.
Other Things in the Works
- There will be some summer painting and touch-ups done in classrooms and offices.
- Cabinets and counters will be cleaned and repaired as needed.
- Some exterior wood doors will be refinished to protect them from the heat and sun.
Last but Not Least, Thanks a Bunch
Thank you to our wonderful staff maintenance guys — Luis Enriquez, Rick Diaz, and Alberto Hernandez. They work hard – every day — to keep our campus beautiful and in good repair.
