The music ministry of St. Andrew the Apostle strives to provide musical leadership which fosters "full, conscious and active participation" of the assembly, which assists the assembly to "express the gift of faith within them", and which "nourishes and strengthens their interior commitment of faith."

Music Ministry Responsibilities

  • All singers and instrumentalists must attend at least 75% of rehearsals and liturgies.
  • All singers and instrumentalists must attend the Diocesan Called To Protect Class.
  • All singers and instrumentalists are highly encouraged to attend Adult Formation Classes at St. Andrew the Apostle.
  • When leaving the music ministry, all singers and instrumentalists are required to return all music, music books, etc. that have been loaned to them by St. Andrew the Apostle.

Saturday 5 PM Ensemble

Under the co-direction of Deborah Melita and Roland Paquin, this ensemble rehearses on Thursday nights at 7PM in the church. Because this is a small ensemble of singers with everyone on individual microphones, this is an audition group. All instrumentalists must also audition before joining.

Sunday 9 AM Choir

Under the direction of Anjanette Indelicato, the adult choir, open to all singers who can match pitch, sings at the 9AM Mass and rehearses in the church on Tuesdays at 7PM. Instrumentalists rehearse once a month, on a Monday night; all instrumentalists must audition before joining.

Sunday 11 AM Ensemble

Under the direction of Anjanette Indelicato, this group of singers currently rehearses with the choir on Tuesday nights. Because this is a small ensemble of singers with everyone on individual microphones, this is an audition group. Instrumentalists rehearse once a month, on a Monday night; all instrumentalists must audition before joining.

Sunday 5:30PM Youth Choir/Instrumentalists

Those blessed with the gift of being able to sing or play an instrument are welcome to share their talents with this ministry and our community. There are opportunities at this Sunday Liturgy and at other times during the year for youth who are proficient in voice and instrument to be able to lead the community in sung prayer and to minister.

  • This ministry is open to all singers and instrumentalist's from grades 7 - College.
  • Rehearsals are on Sunday afternoons from 4:00 PM - 5:00 PM before our 5:30 PM Youth Liturgy.
  • An audition helps to determine where gifts can best be used.

An interview / audition is required. Contact Michael Campbell to schedule an appointment.
